We've been doing on-site testing of the game on all possible configurations, including a few older machines. It's great to hear that you're working on the issue!Unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce it. We're still tweaking the audio, but we're pretty happy with the fight scene and environment in the first episode (you can watch it here ).We'll see how everything sounds when we get the final cut done.
The engine takes care of loading the music file and the sounds, and also resynchronizes the music and sounds on audio playbacks. We also recommend, but it is not necessary, to use a dedicated game engine (like Unity) for game music and game sounds. After investigating a bit further, we think that it was the case that the sound was muted at one point in time. We were looking into the issue with the worst case scenario - that the audio is muted.
